Human Resources Manager
Location: Carbis Bay, Cornwall
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to lead and develop all aspects of the HR function, supporting both operational and strategic business objectives.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide expert advice on employee relations, talent management, recruitment, performance management, learning and development, and employment law compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational HR responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Provide expert guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance issues
- Lead recruitment and onboarding activities to attract and retain high-calibre talent
- Review, update and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with current employment legislation and best practice
- Manage performance review processes and support career development initiatives
- Oversee employee engagement activities and promote a positive workplace culture
- Monitor and report on key HR metrics and workforce trends
- Support learning and development programmes across the organisation
- Ensure compliance with employment law, GDPR and company policies
- Manage payroll inputs and benefits administration in collaboration with finance and external providers
- Lead and contribute to organisational change and continuous improvement projects
Skills and Experience
Essential
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or above
- Proven experience in a HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience handling complex employee relations cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build effective relationships at all levels
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR information systems
Desirable
- CIPD Level 7 qualification
- Experience within the health, social care or care home sector
- Experience leading HR projects and organisational change initiatives
- Knowledge of payroll processes and benefits administration
