Are you looking to build a rewarding career in procurement within a collaborative, high-performing team?
As a key member of the Strategic Procurement Team, you will provide high-quality administrative and operational support to ensure efficient, compliant procurement activity across multiple business areas. Your day will be varied and fast-paced, involving:
- Managing day-to-day procurement processes
- Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with procurement rules and frameworks
- Sourcing quotations and processing purchase orders
- Maintaining procurement records and managing the central procurement inbox
You will work closely with colleagues to improve performance, support continuous development, and help drive a positive, values-led working culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain supplier document control and master data records
- Check compliance on purchase order requests
- Process requisitions and purchase orders accurately and in line with procedure rules
- Administer procurement exemption requests
- Request, analyse and propose quotations for goods, services and works
- Ensure the use of approved frameworks and terms & conditions
- Communicate effectively with employees, managers, suppliers and external clients
- Maintain electronic and manual procurement records in line with audit and confidentiality requirements
- Support performance monitoring and reporting on suppliers and subcontractors
- Provide general administrative support to the wider procurement function
- Support supplier onboarding processes
- Assist with materials and services tendering
- Manage central procurement email communications
- Oversee contract signing through an electronic signature platform
- Prioritise procurement tasks based on urgency
- Champion best practice and uphold organisational policies and procedures
- Maintain your own professional development
- Carry out additional duties appropriate to the role
About You
You will bring strong administrative capability, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to delivering customer-focused service.
Essential:
- 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (including English & Maths)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with procurement or finance systems
- Strong data entry accuracy and organisational skills
