Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for construction planning and NEC contract compliance? We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Principal Planner Programmer to lead our Programming Team and drive performance across high-impact projects in Cornwall.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Team Leadership: Guide and support the Programming Team to deliver efficient, contract-compliant project schedules.
- Project Oversight: Collaborate with Division Heads, Operations, and Commercial Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Resource Planning: Manage resource allocation and scheduling, identifying capacity risks early.
- Financial Insight: Support accurate cost profiling, forecasting, and performance reporting to optimise profitability.
- Risk Management: Maintain and monitor risk registers, assigning ownership and ensuring proactive mitigation.
- NEC Compliance: Champion programming standards aligned with NEC principles, managing Compensation Events and time-related instructions.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring:
- Degree or HNC in a construction-related discipline, or equivalent senior site experience
- Proven leadership in construction programming and project delivery
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts, H&S, procurement, and risk management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar planning software
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and resolving complex programming challenges
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- CSCS card and professional body membership or eligibility
